Introducing the #WEARABIGISSUE fashion brand. Art apparel that makes more than just a fashion statement.
In association with +rehabstudio and a collection of artists who have donated their talent, energy and creativity to the work of The Big Issue.
'Overheated' is designed by thought provoking UK Street Artist Paul Insect to address 'The Big Issue' of Climate Change. He says:
'It represents both the fragility within the world, and, the current lack of peace throughout it.'
More about the Design...
In a massive act of ‘brand vandalism’ just two days before the launch of the UN COP21 Climate Conference in 2016, 600 anti-advertisement posters were installed in outdoor media spaces throughout the streets of Paris. The posters displayed artwork from over 80 artists from 19 different countries, including this piece by the big named Banksy-collaborator Paul Insect.
The large-scale project aimed to challenge the corporate takeover of the climate change event by addressing the connections between advertising, the promotion of consumerism, and fossil fuel consumption.
