For a range of unique bags, accessories and jewellery all with a social echo, look no further than our accessories range from suppliers who are changing lives.
Quazi Design empowers women in Swaziland using recycled materials to create beautiful pieces of jewellery. Innovative and creative, they support sustainable change and social impact by transforming waste magazines into original accessories and all products are handmade by artisans who earn a living wage. Key to Quazi Design is craftsmanship and ethical production, and an ambition to change the perception of recycled materials. Quazi Design is also a founding member of SWIFT Swaziland fair trade.
Research has proven that jewellery making can improve wellbeing by increasing self-esteem and reducing stress and anxiety, so reducing risk of relapse. Sweet Cavanagh is dedicated to women striving to achieve and maintain recovery from eating disorders and addictions through jewellery design and creation.
Just like the women who craft it, Sweet Cavanagh jewellery is bold and beautiful. Each piece is designed and handmade in London’s Notting Hill, using a mixture of semi-precious stones, crystals, metals and glass. Items are rarely produced in numbers larger than one or two, making each piece a rare treasure.
And Sweet Cavanagh’s work reaches beyond the workshop, with free social worker-led support groups, a registered dietician who works free of charge with the jewellery-makers, creative therapy groups, and a recruitment agency to help clients return to work.
